Alysa: What is the theme of Baby Barto's room?
Me: Orange
Alysa: Orange is not a theme.
Me: But I don't really believe this is going to happen, so I haven't really done much yet.
Alysa: You need to own this. It's going to happen.
Renee: He's coming home. It may be in June or July.
Me: Or October
Renee: But he will come home.
Alysa: I'm working on things. I need to know the theme and a second color.
Alysa's words rang in my head on the drive home. Own it, own it, own it. I was buoyed by my coworkers encouragement. So after yoga, I began to look on Etsy for cool art work. I want to have a fun/funky room for Baby Barto. Is fun/funky a theme?
And check out our ticker!!!!! 4 weeks and 2 days until court. I told myself when we got down to a month, I should actually start making some preparations. Well, we turned that corner yesterday. I think my first goal is to make up lessons for the rest of the school year. That if way if we do get to travel in May, that's one less thing I need to worry about as we rush around. And if we don't travel in May, then I can come home early and enjoy the early days of summer.
I also need to work on Baby Barto's blanket. I have three more balls of yarn to go. (See it in its early stages here)
