As we toasted to our new parenthood last night, we also paused to honor Buturo’s first family. Since seeing his referral pictures, we have been deeply humbled by his family’s decision and we hope to nurture their dreams for him. While we celebrate what we have gained, we also hold their loss close to our hearts.

I am so excited for you guys. But, it's true - it is hard to balance those feelings. Excitement mixed with feeling someone else's loss. It's a great sacrifice that these families give for their children.
