I just want to clear something up with you. You know how the crib is still in the garage and Baby Barto has two weeks of clothing (most of which are now too small based on our last weight update)? And how we have been taking trips and eating at fancy restaurants and going to the spa and saying “this won’t be happening when we’re parents”?
Universe, please don’t take these things as an indication that we aren’t wanting Baby Barto to join our family as soon as possible. In fact, these activities (or lack thereof) are our way of taking care of our hearts. See, we want to be his parents so badly, that we have to distract ourselves from all this waiting. And while we are totally pleased with the attention and care he is getting in Ethiopia, we are ready to be his parents. Really, we are ready. So, I just wanted to set things straight with you as we start this week.
Cheers

This morning we had brunch at the top of Reunion Tower (which rotates - the view was amazing). (But we are okay with having brunch at IHOP or some other child friendly place.)

Okay, so I was wondering who was coming to my blog from Dallas... I love the Reunion Tower, esp at night. I only got to eat there once when I was little, but I remember my Dad ordered my brother and I these fancy kids drinks with long straws and we got to look out the windows at Dallas...How beautiful though that you and your hub are enjoying one another together, having nice times during this difficult weight.
I'm pensive for you, can't wait to know of the news of your new date...

See, that's why I hate talking to the Universe...it falls on deaf ears. Me, personally, I prefer to talk to the LORD. In fact, I'll talk to HIM about this situation of yours because truthfully, Baby Barto should have been home, in your arms, the crib, or somewhere close by where you can kiss him---now, I'm getting pissed off with the hold-up.
I'll be praying for you tonight, Sunday, May 2, 2009. You stay encouraged and continue to stay positive!
Yes Yes Yes. I think the Universe/God/Goodness/Various-other-equally-meaningful names knows your heart and you do not have to worry about a thing. You will be a mother in due time and I am really excited about that for you! I think you should just keep going to all of these amazing places when your son is here...and if they are truly not child friendly then you should change that....I mean really, when they see his face they will change their minds. :)
