To Julie-
Turo and I have been dancing in the kitchen to a CD of kid classics performed by current artists. Each time Sarah Mclachlan sings the Kermit classic the Rainbow Connection I get all weepy. The lyrics seem to speak to the adoption journey. To the belief that after all that waiting, heartache, delays and more waiting, there is something beautiful on the other side. Julie, you are one of the biggest dreamers and lovers out there in the blog world, and I hope tomorrow brings you one step closer to your rainbow connection.
Rainbow Connection
Why are there so many songs about rainbowsand what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions, and rainbows have nothing to hide.
So we've been told and some choose to believe it.
I know they're wrong, wait and see.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me.
Who said that every wish would be heardand answered when wished on the morning star?Somebody thought of that and someone believed it.
Look what it's done so far.
What's so amazing that keeps us star gazingand what do we think we might see?
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me.
All of us under its spell.
We know that it's probably magic.
Have you been half asleep and have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name.
Is this the sweet sound that called the young sailors.
The voice might be one and the same.
I've heard it too many times to ignore it.
It's something that I'm supposed to be.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me.
Cheers,
Sara

Aw Sara! I hadn't ugly cried for a whole two hours. I was briefly emotionally stable. You have ruined me! Thank you. Please continue moving west....
Love it! Can't wait until she can dance the dance of her life when they are her children!
Happy 4th!
Yes, I cried just reading these lyrics. I was hearing Kenny Loggins sing them in my head.
