Entoto Mountain – Menelik’s palace and church. The drive up the mountain was very nice and it was refreshing to get away from the pollution of the city. And there are some great views along the way. Another family who traveled did some sort of hike on the mountain, so that would be worth looking into. At the top we visited Menelik’s palace and museum. The church was also very pretty, but we did not go inside.

(The women in the distance are carrying huge bundles of wood down the mountain to sell.)

Palace
Yeshi Buna – We ate at this traditional Ethiopian restaurant three times during our trip. It was so delicious. I’m hungry just thinking about it.

(Sadly, we forget to take a picture here)
Driving Around – There was so much to see as we drove from place to place. We passed shops, people, monuments, gardens, plazas, more people, bike racers, government offices, crazy intersections, goats, a hummer, new construction, beggars, blue vans, garbage, churches...

Okay, that's it. In ten years you and I and our families have to go to Ethiopia to travel and explore. I won't have these opportunities on our trip to Ethiopia. So I will have to go back. And you have to go with me, k? :)

Sara, all these pictures and descriptions are great! You saw some places we did not get to visit. I am so glad you guys made such a point to visit all that you did - I know you will have much to share with Buturo!
