This is actually happening
This is for real. No longer are we on the edges of the adoption journey, we are in the thick of it. In as little as 3 months, we could get a phone call that will change everything. Before Thanksgiving, we might see the picture of a child to whom we will be forever linked. During the spring of next year, we may be making a journey filled with joy, sorrow and love. By next summer, we may be Mom and Dad.

Wow, that's a lot to take in isn't it, but oh so exciting to think about! It is an amazing journey!
It's exciting isn't it?! For me its hard to be on the wait list b/c all the paperwork, etc is done and there isn't anything "adoption wise" to keep me busy. At the same time its been easy b/c I know we are SO close.
This is such a profound and accurate post - I found out we were on the waitlist yesterday and the difference in my mind between officially waiting and not took me by surprise. I hope your wait is short!
