I'm feeling all sentimental about our trip, so I'm going to go back and relive the end of May 2009 here on the blog and post some photos that didn't make it on the first time around.
With only one weekend between court and leaving, we had a lot to do. Luckily, my sister-in-law, mother of four (now five), stepped in and saved the day. When she discovered that I literally had bought nothing, she organized a massive shopping trip. She had lots of advice and ensured that I didn't assume the fetal position in the middle of the baby aisle.
My friend Renee, another rock star mom, came over for a packing marathon in order to help me assemble all the items we were taking with us.

The ladies on my teaching team serving up cake and punch at my shower. I was so lucky that I got to spend each day working with my friends who are amazing educators. I miss these gals and David, the lone male on our team.
Heading out of the school for the final time.

I can't believe it's only been a year since your trip!
Oh my goodness, I do remember how you didn't have anything ready yet...and the scrambling to get it done. But you were smart enough to know that you could really make it with just the basics if you needed to...so true!
