Notice of Favorable Determination Concerning Application for the Advance Processing of Orphan Petition

The U.S. government has determined that we "are able to furnish proper care to an orphan." After we have this final piece of paper authenticated in Texas, our dossier will make its way to the U.S. State Dept and Ethiopian Embassy. Today my mom & I took our CIS notice to the post office, so it's on the way to our dossier service (aka magic lady) who will ensure that it properly joins our other paperwork. Then we will be one step closer to the waitlist, which ultimately is one step closer to Baby Barto.

Ah. Those magical words - "notice of favorable determination". Even with the bureaucratic tone they are very sweet indeed. Congrats!!! Hooray for progress!!!

Great picture by the way!
