We have just finished our first month on the waitlist. During this first month of waiting, we have had some big discussions about the selfishness/selflessness of being parents and about the endless unknowns that come with parenthood. Sometimes I wish Google could answer these big questions for us.
This month I also have scheduled a babycare/CPR class for us and started meeting with pediatricians. The Ethiopian adoption book club I joined is currently reading Notes from the Hyena's Belly. And I've been knitting.

I have to say that being selfless is not something that crosses your mind when being a parent, you just never consider the fact that you are restructuring your life around that little person OR morn what you are missing, it just doesn't happen in my experience, the new adventure is just too good to miss. You'll be there and love it, don't worry about the change, it happens and you adjust with joy.
COngrats on getting to month 2. I just passed month one......cute knitting!
